Big Boaty is Thunder, a 165 ft Oceanfast built in Western Australia in 1998 to a Jon Bannenberg design. For the four days of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix she moors on track-view Berth 60, with room for 120 guests and cabins for 10.
No yacht in our F1 collection takes more people. The package comes with 50 marina passes, which shapes how you invite: some guests for the whole weekend, others for a single day. If the numbers do not work, we request extra passes for you.

Thunder, by Oceanfast
Explore the 165 ft Oceanfast
Oceanfast built her at Henderson, Western Australia, and delivered her in 1998 as Thunder A. The owner wanted a yacht of about 50 metres that could run at close to 40 knots. Jon Bannenberg gave her a low, arrow-bowed profile, and the yard built the hull and superstructure in composites, carbon fibre included.
A 2021 refit took out her gas turbine and repainted her exterior. The scooped air intakes that once fed it still shape her sides. Inside, the saloon is inlaid timber, mirrored panels and curved, upholstered furniture. Sleeping accommodation is listed for 10 guests.
Open-air deck
A pool at the bow
A lit pool runs down the middle of the foredeck, with cushioned loungers along both sides and parasols for the midday sun.
Accommodation

The Big Boaty occasion
Give the occasion a bigger canvas
Start with the size. At 165 feet, Big Boaty gives a large party more than one place to be. The pool and its loungers take up the foredeck. When the afternoon heat builds, guests can move indoors to the saloon, out of the sun.
Then build the guest list around the passes. The yacht is listed for 120 guests and the package includes 50 marina passes, so think of the weekend as a series of invitations. Your closest guests come for all four days. Others join for race day and the concert afterwards.
Big Boaty is chartered privately, and event access runs through your passes. Berth 60 is listed as a track-view position, and your final offer confirms the berth allocation in writing.

Questions
Big Boaty F1 package, answered
How much does Big Boaty cost for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026?
AED 1,500,000 plus VAT for the four-day private programme from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 December 2026. That covers the yacht on Berth 60, 50 marina passes, 50 after-race concert passes, the Thursday pit-lane walk and Oasis Terrace access. Catering, drinks, parking and transfers are itemised separately.
Can you see the track from Big Boaty?
Berth 60 is listed in the brochure as a track-view position at Yas Marina. What you see depends on the berth's angle to the circuit, so we do not promise a particular corner. Your final offer confirms the berth allocation in writing.
How many guests can Big Boaty take, and how many marina passes are included?
The yacht is listed for 120 guests and the package includes 50 marina passes. Those are separate numbers. Plan a rotation, with a core group aboard all four days and others invited for particular sessions, or ask us to request extra passes, which are subject to availability and priced separately.
Can guests sleep on board Big Boaty during race weekend?
Yes. Sleeping accommodation is listed for 10 guests, so a small group can stay aboard through the race weekend while the wider party arrives each day. Put your overnight plans in the hosting brief and we arrange the cabins around them.
What kind of yacht is Big Boaty, also known as Thunder?
She is Thunder, a 165 ft motor yacht built by Oceanfast in Henderson, Western Australia, and delivered in 1998. Jon Bannenberg designed her, Phil Curran was the naval architect, and her hull and superstructure are composite. In 1999 she won the International Superyacht Society award for best power yacht over 43 metres.
When does the Big Boaty programme run?
Hospitality runs from Thursday 3 to Sunday 6 December 2026. On-track sessions run from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 December, and the pit-lane walk is on Thursday. To enquire, send your guest count and hosting plans to hello@infiniayachts.com or WhatsApp +971 52 463 4292.
Are race tickets included with Big Boaty?
No. The package includes 50 VIP marina passes, the Thursday pit-lane walk, Oasis Terrace access and after-race concert passes for all four days, but marina passes are not grandstand or Paddock Club tickets. Our concierge can book circuit tickets alongside the yacht if your guests want a seat at a corner too.
